The Cheng Hsin Association The Cheng Hsin Association is intended to be a network of people and groups who identify with and are taking on the Cheng Hsin work. The Spirit of Cheng Hsin describes the essence of this practice and briefly outlines the methods and principles that comprise it. At Cheng Hsin we use internal martial arts as one of the vehicles to investigate "being," but Cheng Hsin is much more than martial arts, it is about discovering the principles that govern any event, and learning to make distinctions that enable us to relate more effectively to that matter. To join the Cheng Hsin Association is to make a personal declaration to take on this work. You become a part of this simply by stating that it is so. In other words, once you say you are a member, you are a member. If you have just done this, welcome! The level of your participation as well as the choice of your field of endeavor are up to you. You should know, however, that it is your participation alone that creates and furthers this association. The Association must be created by the members themselves - this web site and schools act only as coordinating functions. You are invited to write in questions about the Cheng Hsin work. You can do so by asking Peter Ralston your questions. You are also invited to contribute your experiences of the Cheng Hsin work, as well as read about the experiences of others in the articles in the archive. You'll have the opportunity to find a teacher or partners to practice Cheng Hsin T'ui Shou, other martial arts, or on any ontological endeavor. The purpose of this association is to promote and encourage study and practice in the Cheng Hsin work. |
